For more than forty years, FDD have dedicated to the preservation, restoration, and cultural continuity of historic American theater façades, marquees, and ornamental details, with a specialized focus on Art Deco, Streamline Moderne, and early twentieth and Mid-Century architecture

I established an independent design studio dedicated to the historical preservation and restoration of historic signage and Art Deco ornamentation, primarily throughout the San Francisco Bay Area​ an Sacramento. 

To date, I have contributed to the restoration of more than forty-two historic theaters in California, Oregon, Washington, and Montana. These projects have received multiple awards recognizing excellence in historical accuracy, preservation methodology, and design execution, reflecting peer recognition for work that balances authenticity, technical rigor, and contemporary public use.

FDD is a creative firm with experts from planning through design and project management.
Many of these theatres today act as a magnet to the downtown area. it also helps local businesses who gain from being in proximity to the newly reopen theatre.

There as also the beauty of saving the past for future generations. Most theatres once restored also by their nature and use help to support the arts which is where we wanted to be positioned, by being involved in the projects we bring great design, help to establish a sense of community to each location and support theatre, music and the arts for generations yet to come.
